I know someone with this and drink like a fish without side effects.
Well, I have just this article and doen't say alcohol appears to diverticulosis, but ask your doctor to ensure that he be placed on other complications in touch with him.

You can drink alcohol, but can your stomach. My mother has it, sometimes you can drink a glass without negative effects, depending on the person.
I personally use a glass.
